- MUSEUM
The Museum is the major hub around which the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library revolves. It is the custodian of OOPL collections. Basically, it carries out primarily curatorial duties including documentation,inventory,preservation,conservation, research etc for purposes of exhibit identification, retrieval, longevity and knowledge.
It has an exhibition gallery of Aso Oke dating from the 1950s to 2000. It also attends to enquiries about the exhibits.
- THE OOPL ARCHIVES
The philosophy behind the establishment of Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library Archives (OOPLA) is centred on the vision of the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) to be an evergreen centre for stimulating democratic ideals, and good leadership in Nigeria and the world at large.This is based on the conviction that the OOPL would be a centre of historic, academic, touristic and recreational activities to visitors from far and wide, who will access collections/holdings of archives records, museum artefacts and information resources. As a result, the OOPL Archives (OOPLA) serves as a rich archival base, guided by the mission and vision statements of the library.In the repository of OOPLA are records and rich information on the following subjects:
- Nigerian Civil War
- The Records of the Presidency
- Photographs
- Private Collections
- INFORMATION AND RESOURCE CENTRE (IRC)
The Information Resource Centre (IRC) is primarily charged with the task of acquiring, processing, organizing and disseminating information resources in both print and electronic formats.The centre provides access to information resources regarding President Olusegun Obasanjo, his administration and his life, to any interested individual or group.
Our resources are not limited to any academic discipline. In all, the centre serves as the repository of the wisdom of great ones over the years.
- EDUCATION AND TOURS
As part of its broad objectives, the Protocol and Tourism Unit of the OOPL provides the enabling environment to promote and encourage education, recreational opportunities, and general tourism interests for enduring experiences among its visitors. As such, designated visiting and touring areas within the library complex have been opened to the public.
These include the Arrival Pavilion, the Wildlife Park (i.e. Zoo), the Main Exhibition Floor in the Museum, the Rock of Inspiration, the Dam Recreational Areas, the Archives, the Adire and African Fabric Centre that also showcases the Aso Oke Gallery, the Faith Centres comprising the Mosque and Chapel, the Youth Centre and the Amphitheatre.
Essentially we provide both internal and external excursions/tours to and from tourist attractions in OOPL and Abeokuta.
- CENTRE FOR HUMAN SECURITY (CHS)
About the Centre for Human SecurityThe Centre for Human Security is one of the academic arms of the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library. The Centre provides a base for theoretical, qualitative and quantitative analyses to unravel casual relationships and interdependencies which link or activate security threats in the cultural context of Africa.These threats are multifaceted and multi-dimensional as human security is starting to take into account a range of evolving threats including illiteracy, poverty, food insecurity, international terrorism, drug trafficking, money laundering, illegal arms dealing, institutional corruption, organised crime, disease and environmental degradation.The Centre proceeds from such analyses to make recommendations for action at the community, national, regional and global levels. - WILD LIFE PARK
The Wildlife Park (WLP) is one of the various prestigious sections in the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library. The Park was conceived to express the ardent, sincere and heartfelt love of Chief Obasanjo for the local flora and fauna, and wildlife species in their diversities and exotic kin.The Wildlife Park, which covers approximately 11 hectares, is being developed as a series of enclosures in the form of pens, and open but protected zones for the shelter and management of selected animals and plant species for conservation, research, education and recreational purposes.Its entire collection is managed by experienced curators, veterinarians and passionate animal keepers.
- YOUTH CENTER
OOPLYC is an integral arm of the brilliant dream of former President Olusegun Obasanjo who established the very first Presidential Library in Nigeria and in fact in Africa. This emanated from his belief and conviction that a strong, accountable leadership and successful integration, need to be anchored on the participation of key segments of the population, of which the youths are an essential part.- BOOKS AND SOUVENEIRS SHOP
The Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library Foundation (OOPLF) Books and Souvenir Shop is a World Class Books and Souvenir outlet that facilitates the purchase of the literary works of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, as well as assorted books on various subjects, souvenirs and stationeries.The shop has on sale original, high quality books at reasonable prices on wholesale and retail bases.

- THE ARENA
In addition to its repository objective, the OOPL also aims at enlightening and inspiring adults as well as the youths who are the future leaders.To achieve this, the OOPL has constructed a professional Amphitheatre, Auditorium and Event Centre within its complex to serve as platforms for social activities, dialogue, communication and artistic exchange. This congregation of platforms is referred to as the OOPL Arena.
- FACILITIES MANAGEMENT
The Facilities Management (FM) office of the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library works to ensure the functionality of the physical workplace by the integration of people, processes and infrastructures. The office coordinates the strategic and operational management of buildings and facilities in order to ensure the proper and efficient operation of all its physical aspects, creating and sustaining safe and productive environments for residents and the workforce at all times of the day and every day of the year.
In order to achieve its mission, the Facilities Management office has six (6) distinct units through which it operates. They include: Work Coordination Unit; Electrical and Instrumentation Unit; Civil Unit; Operations and Mechanical Unit; Health Safety and Environment Unit; Grounds and Janitorial Unit.
